A return for Matara Centre Wedding Photography

It was great to be back at the Matara Centre for Charlotte and Joe’s wedding photography in September.

I’d been there earlier in the year for the marriage of Rachael and Matt (click here for the Matara Wedding Photography blog post) but it’s always lovely to go to a place at a another time of the year as it always looks different and new. Offering lots of fresh photographic opportunities. It’s rare I go back to the same place in a season so it was great to see how differently they used the space in this fabulous venue.

Traditionally Unconventional

The Matara Centre describes itself as ‘traditionally unconventional’ and ‘wonderfully diverse’ and I can concur that there’s always something new to see and every couple seems to have a fresh perspective on how to utilise the many gorgeous spaces that are available for a wedding.

When I’d been there before the ceremony was in the cloisters in the courtyard but this time everyone walked down the road to the Church of John the Baptist for a traditional church wedding – with everyone walking back through the grounds for refreshments on the lawn outside the beautiful Grade 2 listed Regency house.

It was such a brilliant relaxed wedding day that the couple had planned – it suited my unposed, relaxed style of wedding photography perfectly. There was plenty of laughter, drinking and dancing – with even an impromptu games of rounders breaking out during the afternoon reception.

My kind of day!
