Elmore Court Wedding Photography – Aran & Maya

I photographed my first wedding at Elmore Court at the beginning of April this year and what an amazing venue it is to get married.

Great light never fails to fill me with joy

My photography is centred around people and it’s never just about amazing venues for me – but great light never fails to fill me with joy! This is what I was presented with at Elmore Court. With the house dating from 1580 it has high windows that bring gorgeous light into all corners of the interior, meaning that I could look for interesting moments throughout the day and know that there would be great light to capture them in.

Family, friends, good food and good wine

Aran and Maya had a very smart, relaxed wedding with guests flying in from across the globe to celebrate with them. It’s just the sort of wedding that I love – it was about family, friends, good food, good wine and celebrating together. My job as ever was to tell that story.

For me it’s always about being specific rather than generic when I photograph a wedding – it’s not the story of ‘A’ wedding but the story of ‘THE’ wedding that’s happening in front of me. It’s these people, at this time, in this place. That’s what keeps weddings fresh and interesting for me. I’m inquisitive and want to find the story of that day.

Working throughout the UK and Europe I get to visit new places ever week which keeps my photography new and fresh as well – that said I’m going back to Elmore Court for more wedding photography later this year. It will be great to see it at another time in different light, and for it to be warm enough to use the beautiful outside spaces as well!

Enjoy Aran and Maya’s wedding photography at Elmore Court – I know I did…
