Here’s another revisited wedding form my wedding photography archives:
This time it’s Laura + Ed’s fabulous wedding from august 2017 – held in the back garden of Laura’s family home in Benenden in Kent.

 

Here’s a little peek at Laura and Ed’s beautiful garden wedding that I photographed in Benenden in Kent (the home of the famous Girls’ School) at the end of August this year. It took place at Ed’s family home Benenden House and was a riot of colour, flowers, great hospitality and fun.

 

A Beautiful Day for an English Country Wedding

 

This was a backyard garden wedding on a huge scale – there are not many family homes that can accommodate a drinks reception and marquee for 100+ guests. Looking out across the Kent countryside it was a beautiful day for an English country wedding and I arrived as finishing touches were being put to the flower displays in the marquee and Laura was getting ready in the house.

The day stayed relaxed and fun throughout with the sort of flexibility in time that putting it together yourself brings – these are the sort of weddings that I photograph a lot and it’s always a pleasure to be part of people’s days but not feel that they wedding is being led by the venue rather than the will of the couple.

A wedding in the garden of England is a beautiful thing and to have a day that flowed so well and was so relaxed is a joy for me. I don’t ever want to impose anything on a wedding day but to reflect it in the best way possible. I think you can see from the photos below what a joyful day was had by all.
