Wilde Lodge Wedding Photography in Powys

Here’s a quick slideshow of Rebecca and Mark’s Wilde Lodge wedding photography from April 2022.

It’s the first time I’d photographed a wedding at Wilde Lodge and I was blown away by the countryside that surrounds it on the Powys / Shropshire border. It’s a stand alone wedding venue nestled into this gorgeous countryside with a beautiful house at the centre. There are gardens, ample camping and just everything you’d need to take your entire wedding party into the countryside for a weekend full of wedding fun.

Dogs – there must always be dogs at weddings!

And Rebecca and Mark could bring Mina, their beautiful dog, to be a reluctant ring bearer. Much jumping up and yapping and licks were to be had. I LOVE dogs at weddings. If you’re not a doggy person and won’t be having a dog at your wedding I won’t hold it against you… well I might. No I won’t. Maybe.

Locally grown food and flowers

I love that as a venue they draw on what’s local to where they are in Knighton in Powys (a couple of miles across the Shropshire border). The Wilde Lodge website says it best:

“Lose yourself in the magical unspoilt and wild countryside.

Take a stroll to your own private river, play lawn games on the extensive grounds, have photos against the dramatic hillside backdrop and toast marshmallows around the firepits at dusk.

Every element of your wedding or celebration can be provided by the team from locally grown flowers to seasonally inspired menus all influenced by the ever-changing countryside around them. The property centres around a stunning 19th century lodge and barn that are licensed for wedding ceremonies and a luxurious safari tent nestled within the old barn wall.”

Anyway have a peep at Rebecca and Mark’s wedding day at Wilde Lodge. It was a super fun day and I hope to be at the Lodge again very soon….
