French/Indian Fusion Iscoyd Park Wedding Photography
It was my very great pleasure earlier this summer to photograph the wedding of Prita & Michaël at Iscoyd Park in Shropshire.
Iscoyd Park is a wedding venue I’ve photographed marriages at a few times and it’s always a joy to return – beautiful rooms, fabulous staff, relaxed atmosphere and I’ve worked with some wonderful couples there too.
“Every inch a family home, Iscoyd is not stuffy or formal but relaxed and welcoming – a classical Georgian house with a modern attitude.
Each wedding is an entirely bespoke event. We don’t do packages or formulas but work with you to help create the wedding you have been dreaming of.”
Bespoke Iscoyd Park Wedding Photography
I LOVE that they are a very bespoke venue because that really works for the non-formulaic, unorchestrated way that I work. Between the venue and the couple they can create a day that is only going to happen that way once – and I get to photograph it that way too.
Prita and Miachaël’s wedding at Iscoyd was no exception – and it had the added twist of including elements from both of their cultures. A civil ceremony in the European style followed by a Hindu ceremony complete with a change of outfit for the whole wedding party.
Photographing Other Photographer’s Weddings
Prita’s father is a professional photographer so I got the usual nods and looks from people and the occasional “No pressure then….” – but there really isn’t. I think you have to be confident in the way that you work and aware that you are not going to replicate anyone else’s work, style or aesthetic.
I’ve photographed more than a dozen professional photographer’s weddings now (a few of those being exclusively wedding photographers) and it’s always a compliment to be asked, plus no-one has ever wanted me to photograph like them but to just “Do your thing!”.
Have a peep at Michaël and Prita’s Iscoyd Park wedding photography – it was a gorgeous day and if you want to see even more click on the slideshow at the bottom of the post.
