Emily + Eddy – Socially Distanced Wedding Preview

Socially Distanced Wedding Photography
On Monday I travelled to Natland near Kendal in The Lake District to photograph the socially distanced wedding of Emily + Eddy.
They were planning to do this at the end May but 2020 had other ideas and we’d postponed till the end of September – but they just couldn’t wait! So when churches opened up again for worship and weddings Emily + Eddy were straight in there to book the first available date.
Emotion vs. Social Distance
I wasn’t sure what to expect with a socially distanced wedding – my wedding photography is very much about the emotion of the day and I was slightly apprehensive that it might be a slightly ‘clinical’ atmosphere. I shouldn’t have worried! Love, joy and pure celebration can span a 2 meter gap very easily it seems…
Here’s a little preview of Emily and Eddy’s wedding. I was so pleased I could be a small part of it and have so enjoyed being able to photograph at a wedding again after a hiatus of 5 months… so glad I remembered what to do.
