Destination Wedding Photographer in France

Hello. I’ve been very remiss in blogging recently so here’s the first wedding I photographed in January 2025. It was at the beautiful and bucolic La Ferme Du Coudray. I’m officially now a destination wedding photographer in France!

(I photographed  abroad in Italy, Sweden, Norway, Latvia, Denmark, Ireland and Morocco but never France)

Now being January at little rain was expected and we weren’t let down in that respect. But every shower was only passing through so guests could enjoy the outside space and tasty reception catering.

I’m very excited about photographing a wedding at La Ferme Du Coudray again – but hopefully on sunnier days. The countryside is beautiful and it was a lovely 90 minute drive south of Paris.

Fabulous Wedding Planner

I don’t often photograph weddings abroad so it was great to be working with a fabulous planner Amélie from Rendez-vous Weddings and Events – it made the whole process so much easier leading up the wedding day.

Home Movie Style Wedding Film

As well as photographing the wedding I was also shooting a little bit of video throughout the day, which was enormous fun. It’s something I’ve started to do, to create a ‘home movie’ of the wedding for couples who want it. The intention is not to replace a dedicated videographer but to make a short film that goes alongside my photography – shot in the same low-impact candid style as my pictures.

Here’s a 1 minute ‘supercut’ of the wedding day – the actual film is about 10 minutes in total:

It’s something I’m offering to couples who don’t want to be overwhelmed by people with cameras throughout their wedding days but would still like to remember the day through some moving images in addition to my photography.

Have a peep at the pictures too – it was such a brilliant day!
