Maddy + Theo’s Devon Wedding Photography

Take two actors, a family farmhouse, lots of friends to help, no wedding rules and carte blanche to have the day that you want – and you get the wedding of Maddy and Theo.

It was a Saturday in July and I’d travelled down to Devon the day before, stopping in a lovely Premier Inn in Weston-Super-Mare.

Burying the sausage

The Friday when I travelled was beautiful sunshine but, being the UK, we had been promised rain for the wedding day. However I’d been informed by Maddy that she’d buried a sausage to keep the rain away (this is apparently a thing whereby the act of burying a sausage where you are to be married ensures fine weather – and it worked!).

The day itself was fabulous but I’ll let the photos speak to that. A few highlights included:

Everyone pitching in with the decorations on the morning

A full blown play, instead of the standard ceremony, about how Maddy + Theo met performed not by them but family and friends plucked from the audience (Theo is a playwright too!)

Lots of Dogs

Have a look at some photos from the day. There were too many to choose from so I’ve tried to keep it brief….

Maddy + Theo. Thanks for having me (it was worth the four hour drive home).
