Leeds Wedding Photographer – Jack + Kelly

Leeds Wedding Photographer
I wouldn’t refer to myself as a Leeds wedding photographer – I don’t define myself geographically as I’m working with couples across the UK who want unposed wedding photography (often referred to as documentary or candid photography).
Kelly and Jack’s idea of their wedding day was that it was about the fun, enjoyment and maximum time spent celebrating with family and friends – not about standing around taking photos. That’s why they found me. I want couples to spend their wedding days ‘in’ the wedding, not standing in a line to the side of it. It’s the joy, colour, emotion and connection that I love to photograph. To tell the story that’s happening in front of me in the best way I can.
I’m based in the North West so popping along the M62 for a wedding was a short trip for me. Leeds’ city centre, with its iconic locations such as Leeds Corn Exchange, Victoria Quarter, and the grand Town Hall, is a great backdrop for unposed wedding photography so it was lovely to join Kelly and Jack for a day being bused around the sights.
Northern Monk Brewery Wedding
It was then on to Northern Monk Brewery for food, drink and dancing.
What a unique venue Northern Monk Brewery is. Nestled in the Holbeck area, this industrial-style brewery offers a distinctive, relaxed atmosphere. The raw, exposed brickwork and warm tones of the brewing space create a modern, edgy contrast to traditional wedding venues which is why Kelly and Jack picked it. They weren’t looking for that conventional wedding day but a day that reflected them – very few words, lots of great food and some epic dancing into the evening.
