Sefton Park Palm House Wedding Photography : Fria & Shaun

I really think my wedding photography is about people and not places so I’m never really influenced by where a ceremony is as much as the people that are involved on the day. That said it was lovely to go back to Liverpool the other week and revisit some Sefton Park Palm House wedding photography again.

Like a Steam-Punk Spaceship

I’d been there in 2012 and it is a beautiful wrought iron Victorian Palm House that sits in the lovely Sefton Park like a steam-punk space ship (especially when it’s illuminated at night).

Fria and Shaun’s wedding reception was taking place there and the ceremony was at the Our Lady and St.Nicholas Church which is slap bang opposite the Liver Building in the centre of Liverpool.

The only other time I’d been to the Palm House for a wedding it was a blisteringly hot day at the end of May – and the weather again echoed that day. Bright sunlight and sweltering summer temperatures.

Relaxed Candid Wedding Photography

As is usual with the couples I work with both Shaun and Fria wanted a very relaxed day and didn’t want the photography to dominate the timetable or dictate the day – that’s not the way I work so relaxed and candid storytelling was in order. I don’t really work any other way.

Anyway here’s a look at their Sefton Park Palm House wedding photography – I think you’ll admit it was a lovely day full of great moments in two beautiful settings.
