Sandon Hall Wedding Photography – David & Natalie
Here is a preview of Natalie & David’s Sandon Hall wedding photography.
It’s great when I get asked to photograph a friend’s wedding. It makes it all that more special that I get the chance to celebrate with them and also tell the story of that day. My style as a photographer is very relaxed anyway and that’s something that naturally happens when you know the people involved in the day.
I’d met David quite a few years ago when we were both working at the New Vic Theatre – David was a practitioner in the Youth Theatre and I was Company Stage Manager (my former career being in theatre). David had since gone on to form a theatre company (with Natalie) and become one of those great teachers you read about – educating and inspiring future generations. It was an honour to be part of his wedding day.
It was also great to go back and photograph a wedding at Sandon Hall again – I’d been there a couple of time before and knew it as a gorgeous venue that hosted great weddings. It’s an elegant stately home in Staffordshire that gives exclusive use to wedding parties and is about 25 minutes from my house – so that’s a bonus.
Natalie and David’s day was that great mix of elegant wedding formality giving way to relaxed celebration – capped off by some moving speeches and energetic dancing. Plus a special surprise for Natalie arranged by David of a vocal performance from members of their theatre company of ‘Can’t Help Falling In Love’. Just perfect.
Here’s a little preview of their wedding day – I’m looking forward to editing the rest next week…
