Peak District Winter Wedding – Rachael & Alex

On Saturday it was Rachael and Alex’s Peak District winter wedding – and the weather didn’t disappoint.

I only live about 20 miles away from Hargate Hall but on the Saturday morning it started seriously snowing so I left early fearing that I wouldn’t be able to get across to the venue.

Hargate Hall – designing the wedding you want

I’d popped over the evening before to say ‘Hello’ and see how preparations where coming along (and partake of some great pizza). Rachael and Alex had booked Hargate Hall sight unseen for the wedding as they live in Australia and had to be guided by what they saw on their website. As I understand it the clincher for the wedding was that Hargate Hall could accommodate all their guests for the weekend and allow them to design the wedding they wanted and the timetable to suit.

I love weddings where the couple are really hands on and know the day they are looking for – it means I can tell a very personal story in my photography.
