Favourite Wedding Photography Review 2019
Share this
I was asked to do a couple of talks about my wedding photography this week. Firstly for photography students at a university in Scotland and then for a small business forum in Staffordshire. So I put together a couple of slideshows to support the talks and thought I’d share them here.
Favourite Wedding Photography
Looking back at my 2019 weddings I could see a few themes emerging as I picked the photos that I wanted to share – there were a lot of dogs, a lot of rain, a lot of fun, loads of smiles and simply tons of dancing!
It’s great to have to put a talk together. Reflecting back on the way that I work and trying to articulate it.
I can see a lot of the things I said to the students reflected in the wedding photos I picked for the slideshows:
Shoot what you love.
Be specific NOT generic.
Celebrate the choices people make.
Be interested and intrigued throughout the day.
& WORK, WORK, WORK.
Anyway here is the slideshow I chose to share. I also put one together of my recent theatre work so I thought I’d include that here too – I normally keep my theatre and wedding work separate but I can see that my approach is the same for both – creative, unposed and storytelling.
