Aynhoe Park Wedding Photography – REVISITED

*Whilst I have a little time on my hands I’m updating a few wedding photography blog posts.
I thought I’d start with this wedding at Aynhoe Park from July 2017. It was the first time I’d done any Aynhoe Park wedding photography and it was a great introduction to a terrific venue at which to get married.

Here is a little look at Francis and Larissa’s Aynhoe Park wedding photography from earlier this month (July 2017). It’s a snapshot of the day and I’m really looking forward to editing the whole wedding in a couple of weeks.

An extraordinary Aynhoe Park Wedding

If you’ve not come across it before Aynhoe Park is a private country house in the Oxfordshire that caters for exclusive hire weddings and parties (and in this case both). It describes itself as ‘The place where the extraordinary happens every day’ and I can’t argue with that.

The collection of modern art, object d’art and curiosities that it strewn through the house and gardens is quite remarkable. Everyone remarks on the full sized stuffed giraffe that floats about the wedding ceremony room suspended as if by helium balloons – but that’s just the start of it.

It’s Very Easy to get Carried Away

Going to Aynhoe Park as a photographer I can see that it would be very easy to get carried away by the surroundings and forget about the people and marriage that is happening. I think I was very conscious of this on the day. I think about any venue I photograph in as the backdrop to the day, it is context and framing for the people who have been invited there. With somewhere as unique and unusual a wedding venue as Aynhoe Park I didn’t want the story of the day to get lost in the trappings. I think I succeeded.

Have a peek at a few photos from Francis and Larissa’s day.
