Round Chapel Wedding Photography In Hackney

What can I say about photographing Katya and Ben’s wedding at The Round Chapel in Hackney – I just loved it!

Round Chapel Wedding Photography

I’d photographed Katya’s sister’s wedding to Richard a couple of years ago (at St.Stephen’s in Hampstead) and was so pleased when Katya asked me to photograph hers. It is always lovely to see familiar faces at a wedding and know that you are trusted on one of the most important days in anyone’s life.

Katya and Ben have a gorgeous flat in Hackney just around the corner from where the wedding was taking place so it was natural that Katya would walk to The Round Chapel for her marriage. Ben was inside waiting and the reaction of everyone when Katya walked down the wide aisle was priceless.

We talk about love as an intangible, etherial thing but you could actually feel the love in the room for the two of them – it was a physical presence.

Chaotic and Exuberant Israeli Dancing

They are both performers so it was natural that there would be music and laughter throughout the day and when you have talented friends to provide entertainment it makes the day that little bit extra special.

Although the ceremony was secular there was a nod to the one families Jewish heritage in the evening with some chaotic and exuberant Israeli dancing – led by the same caller and band that had been at the wedding two years ago. They were excellent again!
