Recent Wedding Photography Awards *Update

It’s always lovely to be recognised for what you do and the passion for which you pursue it.

Sharing the photos I love from weddings I’ve photographed is always a fulfilling and if I get a nod from industry experts that I’m producing good work then all the better.

Part of the reason I enter awards is to keep being critical of the work I’m producing and not to become complacent with the photography I’m offering couples.

Awards Judged by actual humans!

There are a lot of photography awards out there but I try to be selective in the ones I offer work to. If I want to get the type of feedback I’m looking for then I want to be judged by peers and photographers I respect.

There are a lot the rely on open voting or Facebook ‘likes’ for winners – which only demonstrates the ability of those entering to successfully use social media and not necessarily a camera. Nothing wrong with it but I don’t think it would push me to achieve better things as a photographer.
