Hampden House Wedding Photography – Sarah+Rob

I’ve updated my Hampden House wedding photography post.
This has to be one of my favourite venues in the UK – I love a wedding venue where everyone can stay the night before, the rooms are big and well lit (always helps!) and it has it’s own church just 50 yards away from the front entrance – it makes it so much less stressful on the morning of the wedding. And happy people make happy pictures!
So have a peek at when Sarah and Rob got married at Hampden House in Buckinghamshire…

In the heart of the Chiltern Hills sits a Grade 1 listed Country House Estate and it’s here I found myself in August for Sarah & Robert’s wedding.

Hampden House Wedding Photography

Photographing weddings all over the UK I get to see some amazing places – from private country houses to quirky pubs (see my Lamb Tavern wedding) to village halls and back garden marquees (see this gorgeous garden wedding in Kent). It’s always great to join people and celebrate the choices they have made.

I’ve never promoted myself as a photographer of one kind of wedding – my photography has always been about people, which frees me up to work anywhere and photograph all different kinds of wedding.

Robert and Sarah’s Hampden House wedding was just lovely. Sarah getting ready with her bridesmaids in the house whilst Robert organised what was happening in the church – a private church, which I might add, is on the estate and just a quick walk across the court yard. Handy!

Drinking Champagne & Eating Canapes

Had there been the opportunity and time we could have explored the 350 acres of lawns and park land – however I think the consensus was to drink champagne and eat canopies on the lawn at the back of the house till it was time for speeches and a yummy sit down meal….and why not?

Then dancing and fun followed (as it so often does).
