Carlton Towers Wedding Photography – Allyson & Gavin

It was great to return to Carlton Towers again for the wedding photography of Allyson and Gavin.

I’d last been in that part of Yorkshire in July 2013 for the marriage of Selina and Joe and it was great to go back and photograph at that beautiful venue again.

Unique Carlton Towers Wedding Photography

Photographing weddings throughout the UK it often means I’m not at the same venue twice, or if I am it’s a few years apart. For me always working in new and fresh environments stops me from repeating myself and falling into the trap of ‘knowing’ what a wedding looks like in a certain venue. My wedding photography is always about the people that are in front of me and the day the couple have designed so I want to reflect that, not repeat a series of photographs that are already mapped out in my mind.

Casual and Relaxed Photography

Working with Allyson and Gavin at Carlton Towers was exactly like that. They’d planned their wedding day to be how they wanted it, casual and relaxed. There was a leisurely late start for the ceremony at 3pm, lots of time to mingle and chat till food at 6pm then no formal dance band but an iPod playlist shuffled after the speeches. I like days like this – there seems less pressure on couples and therefore I think it makes my photographs of everyone look better.

Anyway – here’s a little review of Gavin and Allyson’s wedding day at Carlton Towers. Enjoy – I know they did.
