On The 7th Wedding Photography – Helen & Jack

As my first blog post of 2018 I thought I’d share a preview of Helen and Jack’s On The 7th wedding photography in Manchester.

This was the third wedding in a row (in fact all my winter weddings in December) where I’d worked with couples who live in Australia but were travelling back to the UK to get married.

I imagine it is quite a stressful endeavour to arrange your wedding from 9500 miles away – not having the opportunity to visit venues, talk to suppliers face to face or sit down with your florist.

This doesn’t seem to have fazed any of the couples I worked with last month. I think it helps to have family on the ground in the country your are getting married in to run around and do the little jobs you’d usually do yourself.

Relaxed reception at On The 7th in Salford

Helen and Jack had planned a great day. A 1pm wedding at St.John’s Church, Salford Cathedral followed by a long relaxed reception at On The 7th in Salford Quays, opposite the BBC where Jack used to work. Salsa band, drinks, great food, fantastic live band. A fabulous day.

The only little wrinkle on the day was when the wedding bus that was booked to bring all the guests from the hotel to the church failed to materialise! 70 guests stranded at the Holiday Inn when they should have been at the church. But did this faze the groom and his best men? Well no.

What a cool bride

Phone calls were made. Taxis ordered. And guests arrived.

Helen even made time to arrange for return taxis to be waiting for everyone after the ceremony. What a cool bride.

Here is a quick peek at Jack and Helen’s wedding photography – a great day spent in Manchester and at On The 7th in Salford. I look forward to editing the rest of the day.
